A university-partnered award at NCrF Level 4.5 worth 40 credits, 900 hours of training of which 610 are practical, a 160-hour industrial internship, a capstone project assessed by viva, and coverage running from Tally and GST through to Power BI. Placement assistance is included, and it is open from 12th pass.
Scope and standing. A tool course teaches one piece of software in a few weeks and issues an institute certificate. DiPA is 900 hours covering accounting fundamentals, two accounting packages, compliance, cost reporting, analytics and BI, ends with an internship and a viva, and carries a credit value under a national framework.
For most learners yes, but for a specific reason. Self-paced video platforms have no assessment anyone verifies, no internship and no credit value. DiPA is also available fully online, so you can have the flexibility without giving up the award, the assessed practical work or the internship.
They are different commitments. CA takes four to five years and leads to statutory audit rights in India. DiPA takes about eight months and makes you employable as a junior accountant or accounts executive. Many people do DiPA, start earning, and register for a longer qualification afterwards with an employer supporting them.

When it carries a credit value under a recognised framework, yes. DiPA sits at NCrF Level 4.5 and is worth 40 credits, awarded through Medhavi Skills University. Most institute certificates carry no credit value at all, and credits are what further-study routes and serious employers can actually read.

Our training is experiential rather than lecture-based. Instead of textbook exercises, trainees operate the books, bank account, invoices and internal correspondence of simulated companies — M & M Technologies, Toy Kingdom and PetalSoft — where transactions arrive incomplete, out of order and occasionally wrong, exactly as they do in a real office. Trainees learn judgement by making decisions and correcting them, which is the part of the work that cannot be transferred by explanation.
