Frequently asked questions
What is the full form of DiPA?
DiPA stands for the Professional Diploma in Professional Accounting. It is an eight-month accounting qualification awarded as a university diploma.
What is the eligibility for DiPA?
A +2 pass in any stream. There is no entrance examination, and you do not need to have studied commerce — accounting is taught from fundamentals.
How long does DiPA take to complete?
Eight months.
Is DiPA better than a Tally course?
They serve different purposes. A Tally course teaches one software package. DiPA covers accounting fundamentals, GST, TDS, payroll, reporting and Excel alongside software, and results in a university diploma rather than a centre-issued certificate.
What jobs can I apply for after DiPA?
Typical first roles are junior accountant, accounts assistant, accounts payable or receivable executive, GST or compliance assistant, and audit assistant.
